Project Support Role

Crich Parish Council has an opportunity for someone to help us complete a number of projects in support of parish activities. The role will be for 4 hours per week and last for 6 months and is available on a contract self-employed basis paid at a rate of £240 per month. Some work will need to be carried out at the Parish Office at the Glebe but there will be flexibility to work from home.

The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven administration and planning skills
  • Suitable IT and computer skills
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a confidential and collaborative manner

The projects will include but not limited to:

  • Overseeing, in partnership with Derbyshire County Council, the archiving of historic record books
  • Planning & organising the refurbishment of Crich public toilets.
  • Planning for an enhanced Annual General Meeting
  • Completing the Parish Council Asset Register
  • Developing a burial ground plot plan along with associated records and compliance requirements
