At Crich Parish Council Meeting of 4th February 2019, the Council passed a Resolution of "No confidence vote in Amber Valley Borough Council as Local Planning Authority".
Crich Parish Council requests the Secretary of State to investigate the failings of the Borough Council with a view to putting alternative arrangements in place.

The Parish Council has authorised the removal of the excess spoil that has been dumped on the lower part of the Burial Ground, so that the area can be levelled off, seeded and then consecrated.
The removal of the spoil will start on Saturday 26th January and continue through the early part of the following week.

The Woodside Development Proposals were deferred to the Planning Board Meeting on 17th December 2018. A further letter has been sent to Amber Valley Borough Council, which can be viewed below. The Chair of the Parish Council will make a presentation at the Amber Valley Borough Council Planning Board Meeting to further emphasise the objections raised.

The Parish Council has acquired three defibrillators for installation in the Parish. It has decided one will be located in Fritchley, one in Whatstandwell and one in Crich.
Council is currently working on specific locations and is taking advice from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) regarding their installation and use.

As part of the national commemoration of the centenary of the end of the First World War, Crich Parish Council will be lighting the beacon next to the Stand at 7pm on Sunday the 11th November 2018. The bells of St Mary's Church, Crich, will be ringing out for peace at 7.05pm.
